“It’s mine!”, says Shahrour. “No, it’s mine!”, says Abu Hanna. Who will eat the tiny red apple?
This is the second in a three-part series of bird puppet stories inspired by the birds in Horsh Beirut, and by the children’s social dynamics.
Once upon a time there was a black bird called Sha7rour
and a Robin called Abu Hanna.
They were best of friends.
One day, Sha7rour and Abu Hanna were hopping along the forest floor
Looking for apples and worms to eat
When all of a sudden,
From the tree above
fell a tiny little red apple
It’s mine says Sha7rour
No, It’s mine says Abu Hanna
It’s mine says Sha7rour
No, It’s mine says Abu Hanna
It’s mine says Sha7rour
No, It’s mine says Abu Hanna
And falls to the ground and cries
Shahrour gently stroked Abu Hanna’s beak
He picked up the tiny red apple and gave it to Abu Hanna
It’s yours, says Shahrour
Hmm, no, it’s yours, says Abu Hanna
It’s yours, says Shahrour
No, no, it’s yours, says Abu Hanna
It’s yours, says Shahrour
No, no, it’s yours, says Abu Hanna
Shahrour thought for little bit
Munch Munch Munch
Shahrour ate half the tiny red apple
And gave the other half to Abu Hanna
Munch Munch Munch
Yum Yum Yum
They hugged and they sang
(whistle)
The Wind blows and off my story goes…
