MADA

Mada is a non-partisan, non-sectarian Lebanese NGO which aims at reinforcing the relationship between local communities and their natural environment. Horshna is part of Mada’s platform which supports civil society by promoting the development of community-oriented initiatives. Mada has provided Horshna with administrative, accountancy and legal support since it began in 2019.

Mansion

Mansion is an initiative that transformed an old house in the Zokak El Blat neighborhood from a neglected private space into a productive, communal space.

Mansion was one of Horshna’s winter locations.

Majal

Majal Studio hosts hands-on workshops for children and adults to nurture their creative potential and enhance their sensorial experiences while building a stronger mind and body relationship.

Taht Zaytouni

Taht Zaytouni is a Forest Program in Baakline – Chouf, where children explore, learn, and have fun in nature. Horshna participated in the foundational meeting of Taht Zaytouni in 2020. Educators from Taht Zaytouni benefited from internships and teachers training in Horshna. Both programs engage in resource sharing and teaching collaborations, optimizing their impact and efficiency.

Jibal

Jibal is a non-profit organization founded in Lebanon in 2017. Its work intertwines socio-cultural and ecological perspectives to promote a holistic approach to societal development.

Horshna is an active member in the Alternative Education and Learning Gardens Network created by Jibal.

Kabcoop: a feminist facilitation coop

Kabcoop is a cooperative of four feminist facilitators from Lebanon who have been working together since 2019. They support groups and organizations in organizing productive and healthy meetings and processes. Kabcoop has supported Horshna since its establishment with training on cooperative work, supporting in building the governance model and decision making process, developing a conflict resolution mechanism, and facilitation of General Assemblies when there was a need for an external facilitator.
